Copeland Crankcase Heater – Copeland Compressors
The Copeland® Crankcase Heater is a bellyband-style compressor heater designed for use with Copeland Scroll® compressors and Copeland hermetic reciprocating compressors used in refrigeration and air-conditioning applications.
A crankcase heater helps maintain the compressor crankcase and oil at an appropriate temperature during off-cycle conditions, helping to reduce refrigerant migration and minimise the risk of liquid refrigerant accumulating in the compressor oil.
These heaters feature an improved bellyband design for easier installation, effective heat transfer and enhanced durability. The omega-style heater profile allows the heating cable to sit closely against the compressor housing, improving heat transfer performance.
