Danfoss GBC Ball Valve / Shut-Off Valve – Solder Type
The Danfoss GBC Ball Valve / Shut-Off Valve is a manually operated, bi-directional shut-off valve designed for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. The GBC series is suitable for installation in liquid, suction and hot gas lines, providing reliable manual isolation of refrigerant flow during system operation, servicing and maintenance.
The GBC valve features a full-port design for efficient flow with low pressure drop, together with a compact slim-line construction for convenient installation and operation. Its quarter-turn operation allows the valve to be opened or closed quickly, while the indicator on the spindle provides a clear indication of the valve position.
Danfoss GBC valves incorporate a double O-ring stem seal and a rupture-resistant, internally loaded spindle design for dependable operation. The bi-directional flow design also means the valve orientation is not critical to the direction of refrigerant flow. A one-piece wire-seal cap helps prevent unintentional cap removal and tampering.
The solder/ODF connection design makes the valve suitable for installation with copper refrigeration piping. Danfoss also specifies copper-plated tubing on applicable GBC variants to support safer and faster installation.
