The Copeland Emerson ALCO AOF and AOFD Series are designed for installation in refrigeration oil lines to help protect compressors and oil-management components against contamination.
The AOF 303 provides high-efficiency filtration of solid contaminants, including metallic particles, while the AOFD 553 combines fine filtration with desiccant-based moisture removal.

Why AOFD 553 for POE Oil?
POE oil is hygroscopic, meaning that it readily absorbs moisture. Moisture inside a refrigeration system can contribute to acid formation and can negatively affect compressor reliability.
The AOFD 553 Oil Filter Drier contains molecular sieve desiccant to help remove moisture while simultaneously filtering contaminants from the oil.
Need mainly solid contaminant filtration? → Consider AOF 303.
Using POE oil and require both filtration + moisture removal? → Consider AOFD 553.
