🔎 How to Read a BITZER ECOLINE Model Number

The number after the dash should not automatically be treated as the compressor horsepower.
For example, the 12 in 4PES-12Y is the BITZER motor-size designation. Compressor selection should be based on refrigerating capacity at the actual operating condition, not the model number alone.
