Why Moisture Control Is Important
Moisture inside a refrigeration system can contribute to several operating problems, including ice formation at expansion devices, corrosion, lubricant deterioration and the formation of harmful acids.
A moisture indicator provides technicians with a quick visual reference so that abnormal system moisture conditions can be identified during routine servicing and troubleshooting.
Important Sight Glass Troubleshooting Note
Bubbles inside a liquid-line sight glass may indicate insufficient liquid refrigerant at the sight glass, but they do not automatically mean the refrigeration system is undercharged. Possible causes can include:
