Teidar Refrigeration Suction Accumulator

The Teidar TDQ Suction Accumulator is installed in the suction line before the compressor to help prevent excessive liquid refrigerant from entering the compressor.

During conditions where liquid refrigerant returns from the evaporator, the accumulator temporarily retains the liquid and allows refrigerant to return toward the compressor in a more controlled manner. This helps reduce the risk associated with liquid refrigerant floodback.

How a Suction Accumulator Protects the Compressor

Evaporator Refrigerant leaves the evaporator and travels through the suction line.

TDQ Suction Accumulator Excess liquid refrigerant is temporarily retained instead of flowing directly into the compressor.

How to Select a Suction Accumulator

The correct accumulator should be selected according to the refrigerant, system capacity, suction connection size, evaporating temperature, expected liquid holding requirement and compressor operating conditions.

Important: Do not select a suction accumulator based only on pipe connection size. Accumulator volume and actual refrigeration system operating conditions must also be considered.
