Muller MRS Series Air Cooled Condenser
A horizontal air throw condenser range built for Malaysian ambient conditions, with inner-groove tubes and German-technology fan sets on every model.
What the MRS Series is built for
The Muller MRS Series is a single-row, horizontal air throw air cooled condenser for commercial refrigeration and cold room systems. It rejects heat from the refrigeration circuit at rated capacities from 30.2 kW to 146.3 kW measured at 15K temperature difference on R404A, which covers everything from a single medium-temperature cold room to a multi-compressor rack.
Every model in the range uses inner-groove copper tubing. The internal grooves increase the wetted surface inside the tube and keep the refrigerant film moving, which lifts the heat transfer coefficient and lets a smaller coil do the same work as a plain-tube condenser. On the air side, the coil sits behind German-technology fan sets running in a 4.5-inch high-collar venturi, a combination that moves more air per fan and holds capacity when ambient temperature climbs.
The fan arrangement is deliberate. Instead of one large fan, MRS models above 38 kW use two, three or four Ø500 mm fans, so each fan can turn slower for the same total airflow. Slower tip speed means lower noise, which matters when the condenser sits on a rooftop or a plant deck near occupied space. Wiring the fans in star connection drops the speed further for quiet night operation or part-load conditions, at a lower rated capacity.
All eleven models share the same fan set. One spare fan covers the whole range, which keeps stockholding low for contractors and facility teams maintaining a mixed installed base.
How to read a Muller MRS model number
Each character in the model number carries information, so you can size and identify a unit from the nameplate alone.
Worked example: MRS2120 is a Muller R Series condenser with a single fan row, two fans, in the 120 capacity band, rated 49.1 kW in delta connection.

Capacities are stated at 15K temperature difference on R404A. Duty at other refrigerants, temperature differences and ambient conditions is available on request. Delta connection gives full fan speed and full capacity; star connection reduces fan speed for lower noise and lower power draw.

General features
Inner-groove tubes
All condensers use inner-groove tubing to achieve a higher heat transfer coefficient than plain tube coils.
German-technology fan sets
Fan sets built to German technology for high performance and long service life in continuous duty.
Dual fan sets for lower noise
Splitting the airflow across multiple fans allows a lower fan speed for the same duty, reducing dB(A) at the property line.
4.5" high collar fan venturi
The high collar venturi increases air volume through each fan, which converts directly into higher condensing capacity.
Powder coated fan casing
A powder coated casing gives a clean appearance on exposed installations and wipes down easily during service.
Optional 2-row coil to 240 kW
A two-row condenser coil is available as an option, extending the range up to 240 kW in the same family.
One fan size, simple spares
Only one fan size is used across all eleven models, so a single spare fan covers your whole installed base.
Horizontal air throw
The MRS Series is available for horizontal air throw only. Plan discharge clearance and prevailing wind direction accordingly.
Where MRS condensers are used
The range suits commercial and light industrial refrigeration across Malaysia and the wider region, in both new installations and condenser replacement work.
- Cold rooms and freezer rooms
- Cold storage warehouses
- Supermarket and hypermarket racks
- Food processing plants
- Central kitchens and blast freezers
- Ice plants

Frequently asked questions
What capacity range does the Muller MRS Series cover?
The eleven MRS models cover 30.2 kW to 146.3 kW in delta connection, and 28.1 kW to 131.9 kW in star connection, rated at 15K temperature difference on R404A. With the optional two-row coil, the family extends up to 240 kW.
What is the difference between the Δ and Y ratings?
Δ is delta connection and Y is star connection. Delta runs the fans at full speed for maximum capacity and airflow. Star reduces fan speed, which lowers airflow, input power, current draw and noise, at a reduced condensing capacity. Many sites run star at night and delta during peak ambient.
What refrigerants can the MRS Series be used with?
Published capacities are based on R404A. The coil is suitable for common HFC refrigerants used in commercial refrigeration, and selection at an alternative refrigerant or a different temperature difference can be provided on request.
How do I select the right MRS model?
Start with the total heat rejection of the condensing unit or rack, which is the evaporator load plus compressor input power. Apply the correction for your design temperature difference and ambient, then pick the smallest MRS model that meets the corrected duty in delta connection. Send us the compressor model and operating conditions and we will confirm the selection.
Can the MRS condenser be mounted vertically?
No. The MRS Series is available for horizontal air throw only. For vertical or upward discharge arrangements, contact our sales engineers for an alternative model.
Do you supply spare fans and support in Malaysia?
Yes. All eleven models use a single Ø500 mm fan size, so one spare part number covers the range. RNA Engineering & Trading stocks and supports Muller condensers from Kuala Lumpur.
